When looking through the lens, 3x (7.6D) of magnification is provided and the image is illuminated by new LED technology. When plugged into any television's "video input" jack, the image is projected onto the screen at a magnification of between 8.5x and 16.5x (depending on the size of the television). By having this dual viewing feature, one can look through the lens to orient themselves on the page and then look at the television to read the text or view the image. This eliminates the disorientation some suffer with "mouse" type video magnifiers.Magnification: 3x Through Lens, 8.5x up to 16.5x on Monitor
