A very original and eye-catching exotic blackthorn walking staff suitable for a collector or as a special gift.The gleaming handle is hand made from a highly polished ram's horn antler, while the sturdy shaft is made from the coveted blackthorn wood found primarily in the UK and Ireland. A great heirloom piece, this unique walking stick.

The ferrule and collar are made from horn.  The longer stick is approximately 45-47 inches overall in length and can be custom sized to any requirement therein. There is also the 37" (may vary slightly due to curve of horn) standard length option.  Each of these unique walking sticks are individually numbered by the craftsmen working within our European workshops.  This is a cherished keepsake for you and your family.

Blackthorn is a hardwood harvested by the Irish and British Islanders and has long been used for walking canes and even the traditional shillelagh, or war club.

• Note: Fissures, cracks and imperfections are characteristic of natural wood canes such as these. Take care to store in a well-humidified area as well as drying the sticks carefully should they get wet. And like any cane, avoid dropping the stick and excess weight/leverage which may cause weakening or additional cracks.
