Through its unique design the Trionic Sport All-Terrain Walker promotes an active quality of life. To allow the needed access to urban and outdoor environments, Trionic has developed the Trionic Climbing Wheel™. This unique technology provides several advantages for the user of the Trionic Sport All-Terrain Walker; curb and obstacle climbing, a shock absorbing suspension and dual-mode handling control. In combination with it's 3-wheel design and larger tires, the Trionic achieves superior maneuverability and uncompromising support.

NEW Features
Trionic has developed a completely new Veloped frame. The frame is welded from unique hydroformed 6061 alloy tubing, which guarantee you years and years of hard use.
Hydroforming is achieved by entering the pre-shaped tube tube into a mold, followed by putting the inner of the tube under high pressure through the use of a mixture of water and oil. Hydroforming allows the cross-section of the tube to change along the length of the tube, and an optimal strength-to-weight ratio is achieved.
The new Veloped frame has a 2-layer silver metallic powder coating and a cool sticker kit that result in a stunning and bicycle-like look.
All Veloped models are now equipped with the brand new Trionic X-Country tire. The distinct and mountainbike-like tread of the X-Country suits off-road use, trails, gravel, snow and also tarmac and cobblestones.
Thanks to its flexible carcass made from 60 TPI weave, the X-Country offers a very good suspension, light weight and good strength. The X-Country tire has a T-Guard puncture protection belt, "Skin Walls" and reflective logos for increased safety.

Foldable - easy storage & transport
In order to simplify storage and transport, the Veloped is of course foldable. In addition you can quickly and easily detach the wheels.
Folding of the Veloped
Through a quick push of the button on the telescopic folding stay, you can fold your Veloped to pass narrow passages. To fully fold it for transport or storage, press the second button on the telescopic stay and fold the frame all the way.
Detachable wheels
All Velopeds have detachable wheels. By pressing the push-button on the quick-release axles on the wheels, you can easily detach them in order to minimize the transport weight and dimensions of your Veloped.
As the Velopeds are true outdoor products Trionic designers and makers demand screws, nuts, washers, axle shafts and small parts be made from stainless steel. For 2017 the Velopeds also have wheel ball bearings and quick-release axles made from stainless steel.
Stefan Kindberg, Trionic's product developer, explains:
-"One single ball bearing made from stainless steel costs 10,00 € retail, and as the Veloped has a total of 13 ball bearings, the total cost is rather considerable. But as our Velopeds and Walkers are indeed true outdoor machines, we have decided to spare nothing in order to offer the highest-quality products available on the market."

Brakes and Levers, premium engineering. All-Terrain Brakes. Safety First.
Thanks to the Trionic All-Terrain hub brake system you can always rely on an optimal brake performance, regardless if you are walking in sunshine, pouring rain or deep snow. The brakes are fully protected from dirt, water and snow.
The all-aluminium brake lever offers you a solid and high quality feel. When activating the parking brake the parking trigger is easy to operate, and it offers you three different options to engage it.
Overcoming obstacles like curbs, roots and rocks is a very common problem among rollator users. If the obstacle is higher than 1-2" (depending on the wheel size), the rollator needs to be lifted in order to pass the obstacle. If the user is forced to lift the rollator, or to perform some other maneuver to overcome the obstacle, the rollator has completely lost its main function of offering support.

Trionic Climbing Wheel – Patent
The Veloped is equipped with the Trionic Climbing Wheel (Patent) that greatly increases the ability to overcome different kinds of obstacles when walking outdoors. By spreading the load over two wheels, slightly displaced in the traveling direction, the climbing sequence is divided into two steps.
The climbing capacity is enhanced even more through an angled link arm that uses the pushing force provided by the user. This gives the Veloped a unique feature, the capacity to climb a 6" high obstacle, for instance a high curb or rock. When overcoming a lower obstacle, for example a lowered curbstone at a zebra crossing, you only need a fraction of the pushing force a single wheel requires. The new Veloped with 14-inch wheels will climb such an obstacle without you noticing that it was even there. The pivoting link arm also provides suspension. On uneven ground it constantly pivots and suspends the ride. The suspension turns an off-road walk with a Veloped into pure pleasure.
The climbing wheel is adjustable for different conditions and terrain. For superior maneuverability, easy turning and with retained climbing capacity the front wheel is raised with a simple adjustment handle – perfect for the city. In its other position, the all-terrain mode, the wheel has a suspension/ climbing function with increased direction steadiness; perfect for the off-road walk.
The Trionic Walker’s 3-wheel design results in constant ground contact, even on uneven surfaces. The “shopping cart-syndrome”, with rising and spinning wheels, is effectively avoided. The advantages are apparent on cobblestone, gravel, grass, snow and any other outdoor environment.

Choice of Ergon Grips (standard small or large) or BioKork (small or large, +$49)
Thanks to the angle-adjustable Ergon grips you can find your ideal hand position in order to relieve your wrists.
Through the Ergon grip’s “wing” construction, the hand is fully supported and the wrist is automatically put in an ergonomically ideal position (left photo below).Responsive image
Why do I get hand pain?
The hands bolster a large part of the upper body weight onto the grips of a rollator. Thus there is constant and high pressure onto a small area causing nerves to be irritated.
To make matters worse, many rollator users bend their wrists too much. The result is sensory loss, tingling, numbness or abnormal sensations in the little finger and ring finger. In extreme cases, even the grasping function of all fingers is limited.
Trionic: Ergon GP1 Grips as Standard, or BioKork as an upgrade
Ergon GP1 - the original ergonomic grip! The worldwide leader in function, material and craftsmanship, the GP Series prevents numb fingers, aching hands and forearms. The uniquely shaped grip body is made from 100% German, TÜV-certified rubber compounds of the purest quality – with infused Medical-grade white mineral oil for improved flexibility and durability.
A forged aluminum clamp allows the grip angle to be adjusted for perfect fit. It is easily readjusted through a single screw, and the clamp eliminates twisting once installed.

BioKork:
The unique qualities of cork make the BioKork grips antibacterial and hypoallergenic. Cork's natural damping qualities make it an idea grip material, and the grips offer optimal pressure distribution. Thanks to the aluminium clamp the angle of the grip is adjustable, and you can set your preferred individual grip angle for an optimal support. The GP1 BioKork grips fit all 2015 models of the Veloped and the Walker.
Size Options
Trionic offer two versions of the Ergon grips, GP1 made from rubber and GP1 BioKork (+$49). These two grips are both available in two sizes, S and L.
