I've purchased many rocker knives over the years for the purpose of one-handed cutting. Usually, they turn out to be chear blades that cannot be sharpened, along with flimsy plastic handles that eventually crack. The Maddox knife is sturdy, with a surprising amount of weight due to its solid construction. It's vertical engineering puts its center of gravity right about the food to be cut. That design, plus the extremely sharp blade makes cutting food with one hand very easy. I'm so impressed with my purchase that I'm ordering two more knives..one as back-up here in my main residence and another for our vacation home. I highly recommend this product.

This rocker knife works exactly as described. No more asking for help in cutting up meat or much of anything else for that matter. Also because you rock it to cut, the food does not slide all over the plate as you are cutting. I would highly recommend this product. Elderluxe itself is easy and very pleasant to order from. When they say concierge service, it truly is. The product arrived very quickly once I placed my order and was packaged as if it were a gift.
