This is a robust, rugged walking stick that serves my needs very well. It is the second purchased from Elderluxe. My previous stick was stolen while I was briefly inattentive. I had grown so pleased with it, I hastened to replace it. This stick, if anything, is even better than the last. Both complement a beloved original purchased over a quarter-century ago when I lived in Hertsfordshire, UK and frequently roamed the footpaths of that lovely land. I took it to Ireland, and back to the USA when my assignments concluded. I feared I would loose it, so I bought the first from Elderluxe, then lost that one. Compared side by side, I have come to prefer the Elderluxe sticks for stability and heft. I happily recommend these without reservation for a fine, comfortable, and sturdy walking stick. In my eighth decade now, I have come to depend upon this Blackthorn on all my walks, albeit through the Rio Grande Bosque rather than along the Grand Canal, the Epping Forest, or Muir Woods.

Authentic as you can get. Very nice cane but wish the hole for strap was smaller diameter. Still, Blackthorn is really stout and excellent for self defense. Perfect knob and extremely well balanced. I wonder how it was aged?

A beautiful and sturdy Genuine Blackthorn Knobstick. I am glad I found this site. I looked at many so-called Blackthiorns and this one looked the best. The Shipping was prompt and it came with an extra wrist strap. If you are looking for a unique Knobstick that is as functional as it is beatiful this is the one to get.

I ordered this cane to replace the one the military gave me. I was searching the Internet for one that would catch my eye and this did just that. The quality is perfect. I didn't want a cheap imitation Blackthorn cane. I very happy with this.i would highly recommend this site to anyone.

I just had back surgery and will need a walking stick/cane to graduate to from my walker. I was nervous to buy from a company I know nothing about. My walking stick arrived today and I couldn't be happier! From look to feel to weight/height to usability.. I honestly can't envision a better product than what showed up. I'm only 40 and hope to abuse it for many years. If not I know where to get my next one.

Just received my new Blackthorn walking cane from ELDERLUXE, wow, just beautiful. I ordered another so called Blackthorn cane from another site but it was big, heavy and ugly, fake at best and I sent it back ASAP. Now I have a cane that's functional and beautiful. Wish I didn't need a cane but this is the way to go.

The addition of the Blackthorn Knobstick to my collection of Elderluxe was a smart purchase for me. It is everything I had hoped it would be. It is a piece of functional Beauty from the polished knob all the way to the tip. Extremely sturdy giving me a sense of security when walking over uneven terrain. It would be nice if there was a trekking stick available in Genuine Blackthorn. I would add it in a heartbeat.

I like this walking stick very much. The length came just about perfect for me ( asked for the longest one they had). My only concern is the large drilled hole for the strap. I would not use the strap anyway and would suggest they offer both with and without the drilled hole for extra strength.

This is for my father-in-law who is somewhat prideful and does not need a "cane." So, he received an authentic Blackthorn English Country Walking Stick for the irregular backroads of the British Isles and he loved it. Used it the first day. At age 83 he can use a little steadiness in his gait.

My new blackthorn is very nice,it has a good finish, the knob fits like it was mad for me, however the hole for the leather strap is very large and as I use a cane for full support I'm not sure how strong the hole makes this and I may only use it once in a while.

I am quite pleased with this cane. It is robust, attractive, & has a good hand feel to it. However, I had to trim to fit since it was not sized as I had requested.

I take walks in the many walking paths here and it seemed prudent to obtain a walking stick I could use to defend myself if need be from wildlife and the various dogs that wonder the paths as well. This is both beautiful and functional.

Extremely high quality. The knob portion is very well well rounded distributing force evenly across a larger portion of the palm than you usually find. As well the shaft is not crooked as is often found in lesser sticks and has a robust diameter. I like the lanyard, it allows you to hang the stick on a bar-hook or elsewhere. I purchased a second one just to store for the future. Excellent for mobility or even self-defense. Honestly, the best I've found anywhere.
