Strikes a nice balance between dignity and informality. Handle is smooth and quite comfortable. The hook is sufficient to hang on a bar. The wrist loop is useful, but tends to slide down the shaft--it's only a matter of time until it will be lost. Altogether a useful helpmate to climbing stairs and slopes, as well as descending into and rising from chairs.
