Electronic pill dispensers

Devices that organize a person's weekly or monthly supply of medication. An alarm beeps when it’s time to take each medication and automatically dispenses the pills. Dispensers often include voice-recorded instructions and some can be phone-activated so that caregivers far away can monitor whether or not the medication has been taken.

Ergonomics derives from two Greek words: ergon, meaning work, and nomoi, meaning natural laws, to create a word that means the science of work and a person’s relationship to that work.

The applied science of equipment design, as for the workplace, intended to maximize productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort.

The technology concerned with the design, manufacture, and arrangement of products and environments to be safe, healthy, and comfortable for human beings.
